Dear Mr. President,
I write to you today to offer congratulations on the occasion of your inauguration as the 46th President of the United States of America.
Following the command of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles, we Orthodox Christians pray for the governing authorities in all of our worship services. Thus, the clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America will keep you in our prayers, praying for your good health, sound judgment, and wise governance, as you faithfully serve the American people as our President. In your service, may you be found worthy to receive the blessings of the Lord as spoken by the Psalmist, “Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times (Ps 106:3)!”
