On Tuesday, December 2, 2008, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia [ROCOR] visited His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah at the OCA chancery. Metropolitan Hilarion presented Metropolitan Jonah an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, since His Eminence said to His Beatitude, you will be travelling quite a lot.”
During the visit Metropolitan Jonah celebrated a prayer service to St. John of San Francisco in the chancery’s St. Sergius Chapel.
Joining Metropolitan Hilarion for his visit were His Grace John, ROCOR Bishop of Caracas; and ROCOR Chancellor, Archpriest Seraphim Gan. The guests were hosted at the chancery by Metropolitan Jonah together with OCA chancery administration and staff.
