On Thursday, January 24, 2013—the eve of the annual March for Life in the US capital—His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, accompanied by His Eminence, Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and the Romanian Episcopate and His Eminence, Archbishop Benjamin of San Francisco and the West, met with New Jersey Congressman Christopher H. Smith. Also present were Archpriests John Jillions and Eric G. Tosi, Chancellor and Treasurer respectively of the Orthodox Church in America.
Discussion topics included pro-life, human trafficking, and international adoption issues.
Metropolitan Tikhon will lead hierarchs, clergy, seminarians and Orthodox Christian faithful in the annual March on Friday, January 25.
