His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon celebrated the Divine Liturgy marking the patronal feast of Three Hierarchs Chapel at Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Yonkers, NY, on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Among those concelebrating were Archpriest Dr. John Behr, SVS Dean; Archpriest Dr. Chad Hatfield, SVS Chancellor; Archpriest Dr. Alexander Rentel; Archpriest Eric G. Tosi, OCA Secretary; and other seminary clergy. Father Eric delivered the homily.
During the Liturgy, third-year seminarian John Mikitish of Holy Transfiguration Church, New Haven, CT, was tonsured to the order of Reader and ordained to the subdiaconate.
Metropolitan Tikhon addressed the seminarians and offered them words of encouragement on the opening of the new semester. He also blessed the seminary buildings before joining the faculty and seminarians for brunch.
