Stewardship Sign-Up Program

By Fr Alexis Vinogradov

Another system used to match parishioners’ talents with the work that needs to be done in the parish is shown in the Stewardship Sign-Up Program used in the smaller parish of St. Gregory’s, Wappinger Falls, N.Y., Fr. Alexis Vinogradov, pastor.

This list shows the various areas of our parish life which require time and effort from individual members of the parish. Many of these activities are being accomplished by the same persons. The point of Christian stewardship is the sharing of tasks, so that we truly function as a Body, with “every member doing its part” (as St. Paul teaches).

Please review this list carefully, decide how you can participate in the coming year (one or more tasks) and add your name in the appropriate place on the large version of this list at the church.

Each (+) indicates a person needed for the task. For your own information, circle the “+“s that you are willing to do.

From the above list it is clear that there are at least 135 tasks to be done regularly by parishioners. Administrative and regular committees really means co-ordination of tasks to be done by many or all parishioners. For more information or if you see a task omitted, please see Fr. Alex.
